Course Description by ITEI

Level 1 Award in Tea/Tea Steward is an excellent choice for anyone desiring a solid foundation in tea basics and tea applications. This course is perfect for those seeking entry-level tea education, and is a must for advancing your culinary or beverage career. This course consists of a combination of theory and practical hands-on experience. No previous experience or perquisites are required.  It is open to both the novice and professional.  Whether your interest is in tea is personal or professional, ITEI Level 1 /Tea Steward course is where your tea education journey begins!

The course is an 8-hour certification course, usually conducted over a two-day period. It consists of theory/lecture presentations, demonstrations, and practical hands-on exercises for students. Classes are taught by ITEI Certified Educational Professional who bring unique tea experiences to bear on their teaching.  Students will taste relevant teas, learn tasting techniques, and much more.  A final written exam as well as practical exercises will ensure that students have mastered the material taught in this course. Upon satisfactory completion of course requirements, the student will receive an official certification as ITEI Tea Steward.

Your course fee includes the course literature packet, teas for tasting in class, and other relevant material offered in the course. Your diploma processing fee is also included.
